Route description

With the support of the World Sailing Federation, we plan to set a new world record for passing all 4 seas of Turkey.
!!!Passing the route without stops and external support!!!
Start in Hopa (39 km from Batumi), finish in Iskenderun on the border with Syria.
The current world record around Turkey is 11 days 20 hours 23 minutes. We plan to complete the route in 9-10 days.
!!According to the results of the route, YOU WILL RECEIVE A PERSONALIZED CERTIFICATE from the World Sailing Federation on setting a World Speed Record for a Sailing Yacht

OUR YACHT
Black Betty is a Volvo Open 70 Mega class sailing yacht. The legendary yacht, champion of the Volvo Ocean Race regatta, holder of the world speed record, the largest and fastest sports yacht in the Turkish yacht racing fleet.

OUR CAPTAIN IS Volkan Kaan Yemlihaoğlu
Volkan Kaan Yemlihaoglu is a skipper with more than 30 years of sailing experience. He has been participating in many important yacht races for many years, including cup races. His sailing experience is more than 50,000 nautical miles, he has participated in more than 600 yacht races.

The route passes through the Black Sea, the Bosphorus Strait, the Sea of Marmara, the Dardanelles Strait, the Aegean Sea, the Mediterranean Sea*
