Practical questions before you get in touch

What can you organise?

From a day trip or multi-day cruise to a private event or group outing. We select one or more yachts, crew and a programme to suit your plans. Have something else in mind? Tell us — let’s explore the possibilities

What do you take care of?

ImSkipper selects one or more yachts and crew, helps agree on the route and marinas, prepares for departure and organises the necessary activities on board. Additional specialists can be arranged if needed. We agree the scope of services to suit your plans. Flights, transfers, hotels and meals ashore are not included by default.

Do I need sailing experience?

No. The captain is responsible for handling the yacht and safety on board. You can simply relax or, if you wish, take part in sailing and learn the basics.

What determines the cost?

The cost depends on the location, dates, duration, number of guests and yachts you choose. The captain's and crew's services, fuel, marina fees and additional activities on board are accounted for separately. After discussing your plans, ImSkipper will prepare an estimate and explain in advance what is included and what is paid for separately.

Yacht or catamaran – what to choose?

A sailing yacht is more compact, more dynamic and usually less expensive. A catamaran offers more space and stability, making it a good choice for larger groups or anyone who particularly values comfort. The captain will help you choose based on your group, route and budget.

Can children come on board?

Yes, with a suitable yacht and type of trip. Tell us the children’s ages in advance so the captain can arrange children’s life jackets and, if necessary, additional safety netting. The route and sailing times can also be adapted for your family.

What if I get seasick?

It is difficult to predict how you will react to the movement, but most people gradually adjust. Fresh air, looking at the horizon and staying on deck usually help. Let the captain know your concerns before the trip so they can take them into account when choosing the yacht, route and sailing times.

What should I bring?

Bring light clothing, sun protection, non-slip shoes, swimwear and a windbreaker. A waterproof phone case and a power bank can be useful. Choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase: it is easier to stow in the cabin.
