Yachtmaster Offshore Sail IYT is one of the most advanced courses in our yacht school. The course is aimed primarily at the filigree mastery of yacht management skills, both under sail and under the engine.

After completing this course, you will really feel like a part of the yacht, and you will easily control it in any weather and in any navigation conditions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES WHO DECIDE TO TAKE THE TRAINING COURSE AND PASS THE LICENSE EXAM
1. The total time spent by the candidate at sea on board the yacht as an active crew member, taking into account the five-day IYT Yachtmaster Offshore practical course, must be at least 50 days, including 30 hours of night watch (of which at least 6 hours as a captain).
In this case, one day is calculated as 24 hours of net time spent outside the harbor (for example, not at anchor). That is, if the ship was at sea for 12 hours a day for 2 days, then exactly 1 day will be counted.
2. The distance traveled, confirmed by the relevant entries in the logbook, must be at least 3,000 nautical miles, including 2,000 miles in coastal navigation.
3. Ongoing medical examination and examination for color blindness, which allows the participant to safely perform his duties on the yacht, including the ability to see and distinguish the lights and signals of ships and navigation signs in typical weather conditions without risking himself, other ships and the safety of the operation of the vessel (availability of an appropriate medical card or driver's license).
4. The candidate has Yachtmaster Coastal and VHF Marine Radio Operator certificates.
If the candidate does not have a valid VHF certificate, he can take this course on board a yacht.
In addition, the candidate is strongly recommended to complete the five-day STCW Basic Safety training courses, which includes training in firefighting, survival at sea, first aid, as well as personal and public safety practices.

HOW DOES THE FINAL EXAM GO AND WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
- The final exam is conducted according to the standards accepted throughout the yachting world.
- The examiner (instructor) takes the exam by conducting a survey and evaluating practical skills on the entire range of studied issues.
- If the instructor believes that the subject has not reached the standards required for this qualification and/or the candidate has not shown his abilities as a captain, an intermediate certificate may be issued.
- In this case, a personal message will be sent to the candidate stating the grounds and reasons for such refusal, as well as measures to correct the situation and retake the exam.




THE SCHOOL'S BASE IN TURKEY
- The well–maintained marina is located in the amazingly beautiful and unique bay of Hisaronu – the place of Orhaniye - half an hour by minibus from Marmaris.
- The sea water in this place is warm, emerald and salty :-)))). Fresh sea air, mixing with pine, creates a unique cocktail of the purest healing air. Even asthmatics forget about their illness here!
- For your convenience, the Marina has showers, comfortable toilets, and the bar and restaurant will offer delicious Turkish and European cuisine. In addition, you can rent an inexpensive and comfortable room at a local hotel and use the adjacent swimming pool.

how to get:
- The best way is to fly by plane to Dalaman Airport via Istanbul or Ankara.
- Comfortable air–conditioned buses run from Dalaman airport from two companies - Havaş and Muttaş . At the airport we are looking for buses of these two companies with the sign “MARMARIS". They will take you to the bus station (Otogar) of Marmaris in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Next, from the Marmaris bus station, we take the Dolmus minibus with the sign “ORHANIYE" to the Palmiye Marina.
