Theory and practice on board a yacht

Yachtmaster Coastal IYT
The Yachtmaster Coastal IYT certificate is recreational (for cruises/vacations) and indicates the competence of the owner in managing a sailing and/or motor vessel up to 24 meters long and at a distance of up to 60 nautical miles from shore.
The owner of this license is also allowed to walk at night.

The course lasts 7 days and depending on the experience, the applicant rolls miles and ends with an exam at sea.

COURSE CONTENT
— The basics of safe swimming;
— MPPSS;
— Knowledge (understanding) of navigation maps and symbols;
— Determination of the cruising bearing of the calculated position of the vessel;
— Determining the position of the vessel;
— Tides and currents;
— Aerobatics (visual wiring of the vessel);
— Safety at sea;
— Meteorology;
— Working with ropes;
— Anchoring;
— Duties of the helmsman;
— Mooring;
— Transition planning;
— Fine-tuning of sails, sorcerers;
— Use of navigation equipment (chartplotter/radar/autopilot);
— Night crossing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DELIVERY TO THE YACHTMASTER OF COASTAL NAVIGATION
— 30 days or 800 miles at sea, including 2 days as skipper (watch helmsman);
— 12 night hours as a skipper (watch helmsman).

WHAT DOES THE EXAM CONSIST OF?
The exam consists of a theoretical and a practical part.
At the same time, questions can be asked across the entire spectrum of the material covered.
Practical skills should be demonstrated in steering, mooring and anchoring at the appropriate level.
If the examiner considers that the candidate has shown insufficient knowledge and skills, the certificate may not be issued.
In this case, the examiner is obliged to inform the student in writing about the reasons for the refusal and about the necessary measures that the cadet must take to obtain a certificate.

After passing the exam and obtaining a license, you can automatically receive the ICC "International Certificate of Competence" (see Certificate Recognition) by ordering it from our school.
In addition, you can take an additional one-day course on motorboat management and extend your license to MCA ICC 24m SAIL, 10m POWER COASTAL and INLAND and will be able to operate a boat (motorboat, “rib”) up to 24 m long.

THE SCHOOL'S BASE IN TURKEY
- The well–maintained marina is located in the amazingly beautiful and unique bay of Hisaronu – the place of Orhaniye - half an hour by minibus from Marmaris.
- The sea water in this place is warm, emerald and salty :-)))). Fresh sea air, mixing with pine, creates a unique cocktail of the purest healing air. Even asthmatics forget about their illness here!
- For your convenience, the Marina has showers, comfortable toilets, and the bar and restaurant will offer delicious Turkish and European cuisine. In addition, you can rent an inexpensive and comfortable room at a local hotel and use the adjacent swimming pool.

how to get:
- The best way is to fly by plane to Dalaman Airport via Istanbul or Ankara.
- Comfortable air–conditioned buses run from Dalaman airport from two companies - Havaş and Muttaş . At the airport we are looking for buses of these two companies with the sign “MARMARIS". They will take you to the bus station (Otogar) of Marmaris in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Next, from the Marmaris bus station, we take the Dolmus minibus with the sign “ORHANIYE" to the Palmiye Marina.
