YT Bare Boat Skipper Sail - 10 days
Course cost: from 1600 EUR
Issuance of VHF + Bareboat Skipper Sail certificates: 200 EUR
Course duration: 10 days
According to IYT standards, we must pass 200 NM during the training.
The license allows its holder to charter sailing yachts up to 24 meters in size all over the world, provided navigation is only during daylight hours, with a distance from the shore of no more than 20 NM. We conduct this course upon prior request.



Skipper's Certificates from IYT
We teach using the International Yacht Training system. Today, IYT certificates are recognized in 56 countries around the world, and the school's standards allow us to be sure that our students will receive the necessary amount of knowledge and skills for independent yachting.

Russian-speaking yacht school in Croatia
Our school is located in Croatia, the practice takes place in the southernmost region, 20 km from the famous resort of Dubrovnik. Surrounded by islands, national parks and the atmosphere of medieval towns.

Own yachts
We have three modern ELAN cruise yachts at our disposal, in different sizes and modifications. Equipped with air conditioning and heating for all occasions, fully equipped for living.Accommodation on the yacht is included in the tuition fee.

Comfort
Comfortable accommodation during the training, in each group there are no more than 5 people on the yacht. Each student gets enough space and attention from the instructor

We can rent a yacht, we will advise the charter company and the region, we will help you decide on the route and not only :) Upon completion of the course, you will receive not only a certificate for yacht management, but also our lifelong support in the field of yachting.

Our base
A small town, Slano sheltered our school.
A safe, protected bay from all sides, in which it is not scary to start the first independent mooring. The marina where our school is located was opened in 2018, and our students have modern showers, a swimming pool, and a restaurant.


IYT Bareboat Skipper Sail is the most popular training course for sailing yacht skippers in America and Europe. The intensive 10-day course is best suited for mastering basic yacht management skills, even for people without experience.
The certificate holder can take a yacht without a crew and manage it independently. Yacht and insurance companies around the world recognize this certificate.



What we learn in Bareboat Skipper Sail courses:

Yacht construction/ Yacht acceptance
We study the yacht's design in theory and in practice. Together we explore our yacht, memorize all the terms, as well as learn how to accept a yacht from a charter company according to the checklist, check the engine, prepare the yacht for sea.

Radio exchange
An important part of any maritime practice is radio exchange. We are learning how to use a VHF radio station, call the Marina, the marine alphabet. Upon completion of the course and passing the exams, students receive a VHF operator license.

Yacht safety
Every future Captain should know and follow the safety regulations on the yacht, provide safety instructions to his team and know how to respond in an emergency on the yacht.

Meteorology
The basics of metrology, the causes of winds, types of clouds, sources of meteorological information, the ability to use modern weather forecasting applications - all these are the necessary skills of a future Captain.

IPPC Rules *
We teach in theory, analyze and apply in practice the set of International Rules for Preventing Collisions at sea.

Navigation in coastal navigation
We learn to read the lot and plan transitions, use paper and electronic maps, plot a route, distinguish marine lights, signs and sound signals, determine the position of the vessel by bearing, use the chart plotter on the yacht and the NAVIONICS application

Yacht management
We learn how to control a yacht under the engine and sails, anchor, stand on a buoy, moor to the pier with the stern, moor with a log, rescue a person overboard., get up to drift.

Working with sails
Sailing the yacht, the yacht's courses relative to the wind, the order of setting sails, the use of an additional sail - gennaker. Saving a man overboard under sail.
