Route description

It would be great if we could change the season at will or if necessary! Sometimes you want to escape from the snow captivity and take a deep breath of humid and hot air. Pull off wool socks with a confident hand and immerse your feet in the sea coolness. Drink a delicious cocktail, certainly decorated with an umbrella, listening to the whisper of the morning surf. To expose your face not to snow, but to the rays of the awakening sun. Do not rush to work, but lazily lie down on the warm sand and dream. Although... why can't we?
We put on swimsuits under down jackets and go to the paradisiacal beaches from the advertisement of the Bounty chocolate bar — this time we will conquer the Seychelles! So, what knowledge have we learned from the advertising of the 90s?

There is a paradise on Earth, you just need to know where to look for it.
Paradise presupposes the presence of the purest sand, the sea of the degree "fresh milk" and at least three or four palm trees with bananas and coconuts. An experienced skipper will easily deliver the sufferers to the right place and at the right time!

SEYCHELLES
Nature has managed to create incredible things, and almost every island in the Seychelles archipelago has its own unique features. The brightest whirlwinds of exotic birds are passing over one. Hundreds of colorful fish have found shelter off the coast of the second, who have chosen coral reefs for their homes. The third island has been inhabited forever by huge turtles, patiently and understandingly letting people into their slow kingdom. The climate in the Seychelles allows tourists to enjoy beach holidays all year round, but it is in January that the underwater fauna reveals itself in all its glory, and not taking advantage of this opportunity is a real crime!

If you want to understand what yachting in the Seychelles is, then try to imagine the following picture. Alluring beauties from the pages of glossy magazines. The sunny distance of the sea, on which shimmering highlights are scattered in multicolored fragments. The salty wind throws spray and foam at the yacht. Incredible granite blocks of bizarre shapes froze in peace and tranquility. The gold of the sun spreads over the entire horizon. Did you manage to imagine? No? Then pack your bags and get ready to see it all with your own eyes!

DAY 3
Monday. La Digue

Surprisingly, until recently, there was a ban on the use of motor vehicles in La Digue. Today, of course, this unusual ban has been lifted, but even now the bicycle remains the most popular transport on La Digue. We'll saddle up the two-wheeled horses, and we'll!

Among the main attractions of the island is the "Plantation House", in 1977 the filming of the French film "Goodbye, Emmanuel!" took place here, and a little later this bright example of the so-called Creole architecture was even the residence of the president of the country. But the main thing on La Digue is certainly not the buildings, but the uninhibited beauty of the landscapes: a great many extraordinary plants, innumerable flocks of birds that you have hardly met before, a rich palette of colors and shades, a variety of flavors – it seems that nature allows itself absolutely everything here! We will try to visit as many picturesque coves as possible during our bike ride, not missing the opportunity to once again swim in the azure waters of the Indian Ocean.

DAY 4
Tuesday. La Digue – Curieuse Transition

But now it's time to say goodbye to the island of La Digue, which has become so dear to us, and visit another Seychelles pearl. The wind fills our sails and very soon we drop anchor near the small island of Curiez. The islands of the archipelago are located very close to each other – this leaves more time to enjoy their pristine nature.

There is a national park on the island of Curiez, this is one of two places in the world where the famous Coco de mer palm, depicted on the coat of arms of the Seychelles, grows. Some devout nativesThey seriously believe that the biblical serpent tempted Adam and Eve with the fruit of the Seychelles palm tree, and not some banal apple. In addition, there is a plantation of huge land turtles, some of which grow up to 250 kilograms in a hundred and fifty years! Selfies with such cuties will be unforgettable and guaranteed to get the maximum number of likes!

DAY 5
Wednesday. Curieuse – Praslin Transition

Having seen enough of the giants of the island of Curiez, we return to Praslin. To soak up plenty of warm salt water on this winter day, dance on the ocean shore, feeling the heat of snow-white sand with your feet, soak up the gentle but treacherous sun with your whole body, have a picnic under relict Seychelles palm trees, and forget that snow and cold ever happen anywhere. If you get tired of such a vacation, you can use the many trails for hiking and explore the sights that, by an unfortunate oversight, were not covered on the first day of our trip. A farm for processing black pearls, tropical plantations of exotic spices, many rare species of exotic birds, colorful restaurants – everything is missing on Praslin.

DAY 6
Thursday. Praslin — Sainte Anne Transition

We raise the anchor and head south to the Santa Anna Marine Reserve. There is only one hotel on the island, because it is never particularly noisy and crowded here – what tourists need who have escaped to the paradise islands from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The smallest sand sliding through your fingers beckons you to lie down, relax and forget. The water here is so transparent that the seabed can be seen for many meters, the ocean not only reveals its secrets, but also caresses the body like a warm blanket. Here, everyone can go snorkeling and watch both tropical fish of all colors of the rainbow, as well as more important ocean inhabitants: sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas and, if lucky, even sharks. But don't be afraid, Seychelles sharks are small and completely harmless!

DAY 7
Friday. The Sainte Anne – Mahe transition.

We say goodbye to Santa Anna Island and go to the capital of the Seychelles – the city of Victoria, located on the largest island of the Mahe archipelago. The city of Victoria was founded in the XVIII century and named after the English Queen. Seasoned tourists can say that there are not so many historical monuments in Victoria – the colorful Clock Tower, the Zom Lib, the National Museum, the village of artisans — these are, perhaps, all the main attractions. But this is more than compensated by the richness of nature — the Seychelles Morne Nature Reserve, the Jardin du Roy Royal Garden, the Mont Fleury Botanical Garden with many rare plants that you will not find anywhere outside the archipelago!

An unforgettable festive dinner will complete the walk around the capital, during which you can taste Creole, Thai, Indian and French cuisines.

additionally
Saturday. Mahe

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end – our tropical adventure has come to an end. Finally, we will definitely take a walk along the beach to once again see how the heavens connect with the water and capture this moment in our hearts. Let's say goodbye to the yacht, which has become a fulcrum for us on this journey, which has torn us away from reality. Seychelles seems to be created in order to take a vital pause and find inner peace and tranquility. But the passage of time is inexorable, the hot southern sun will remain a tan on our skin and warmth in our hearts, and it's time for us to return home to share our newfound wealth of impressions with family and friends. Of course, we will not be able to convey in words the taste and caress of salt water, wild aromas of unusual flowers, soft touches of dazzling white sand, but we can infect others with sincere positivity and kindness.
