This course will give you basic knowledge that will be useful and sufficient (with the exception of some nuances, such as the rules of navigation in the GDP of the Russian Federation) to obtain both international and national entry-level skipper certificates in the future.

Part of the theoretical yachting training course must be completed online, you can do it at a convenient time and place. The cost of this online yacht course is included in the total tuition fee. But it is impossible or ineffective to convey certain educational material from a computer screen or smartphone, so part of the theoretical course at our yacht school is taught in the classroom by our yacht instructors.

IYT Bareboat Skipper Certificate gives you the opportunity to independently manage a sailing or motor yacht, own or rented. The restrictions of this level relate to the size of the yacht - up to 24m, distance from the shore - up to 20 miles, sailing is allowed only during daylight hours and under favorable weather conditions. A typical week-long cruise fits well within these limits.
In the Northwestern Yacht School, in order to become an IYT Bareboat Skipper from the beginner level, you need to take a theoretical course and two weeks of practice on a yacht. At the same time, the first week of practice can be completed both before, during, and after the theoretical course; and the second week of practice is mandatory after the end of theory.
