Route description

Yacht captain's course in 10 days

BAREBOAT SKIPPERIYT
Intensive course – theory and practice on board a yacht

Bareboat Skipper IYT
10-12-day INTENSIVE training courses are held on board a sailing yacht, on which you will not only take a theoretical and practical training course, but immediately immerse yourself in the atmosphere of yachting – “yachting as a lifestyle"!

The training course takes place like a yacht trip – this is when a yacht with a crew makes a day trip from one port to another every day.

During the transition, the team learns to control the yacht, to separate from other vessels, to solve navigation problems, consolidating the studied theoretical material.

NICE BONUSES
- After passing the exams and obtaining the Bareboat Skipper IYT license, you can automatically receive the "International Certificate of Competence" ICC (International Certificate of Competence) by ordering it from our school.
- In addition, you can take an additional one-day course on motorboat management and extend your license to MCA ICC 24m SAIL, 10m POWER COASTAL and INLAND and will be able to operate a boat (motorboat, “rib”) up to 24 m long.

HOW IS THE SCHOOL DAY GOING?
- Our day starts with a delicious breakfast.
- Then an hour or two of theory, which take place in the cabin of the yacht, and another time in the cozy gazebo of a local restaurant, a pause, and now we are preparing to go to sea.
- Depending on the situation in the marina, weather conditions, everyone takes turns at the helm and, under the guidance of an instructor, works out the studied theoretical material: mooring, setting sails, setting them and much more.
- Next, the transition to a new marina is the place of the next parking lot.
- During the transition, the team actively trains in real sea conditions, and not at a desk with abstract pictures.
- Of course, an afternoon snack is most often sandwiches, coffee, tea, juices.
- However, sometimes teams manage to make a full lunch with the first and second.
- After arriving at a new place, the instructor, as a rule, analyzes the transition and the entire training day, in order to identify and correct typical mistakes.
- In the evening, dinner in one of the authentic restaurants or in the cozy cockpit — a place on the deck near the steering wheel, where it is pleasant to sit with a glass of local wine or something stronger.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS
– no restrictions for medical reasons (If you have a driving license, then there are no restrictions for managing a yacht);
– the age at the time of study is 16 years old;
– availability of a VHF radio operator license. (During our INTENSIVE course, all cadets take the mandatory VHF SRC Marine Communication Radio Operator course, with a VHF Radio Operator Certificate license);
– at the time of passing the exam, the cadet must have traveled at least 200 nautical miles. (During our training trip, we will walk 220-250 nautical miles with you).
