Canary Islands Yacht Tour: Atlantic Yachting and Teide Volcano
Embark on a week-long adventure in the Canary Islands, where you can master yachting, explore volcanic landscapes and enjoy breathtaking nature. The program includes climbing the Teide volcano, hiking along scenic trails, sailing skills and relaxing in comfortable cabins on board a modern yacht.
The main impressions
Marine part: Yachting training on the German yacht Bavaria 46 (or similar). You will learn the basics of sailing, navigation and yacht management, as well as be able to take the helm.
Land adventures: Climbing the Teide volcano, hiking in the relict forests of La Gomera, walking in the natural parks of Gran Canaria.
Nature and culture: National parks, ancient laurel groves, banana plantations, sand dunes and historical cities associated with Christopher Columbus.
Life on a yacht: Spacious cabins with double beds, kitchen, toilets with shower — everything for a comfortable stay.
Route by day
Day 1: Marina Radasul (O. Tenerife)
Arrival at 17:00, check-in on the yacht, grocery shopping, briefing from the captain. Dinner at the restaurant in the evening. There are volcanic beaches and hiking trails nearby.
Day 2: Tenerife — Gran Canaria
Transfer to Gran Canaria (55 nautical miles, about 9 hours). Along the way — yachting training and spectacular views. In the evening, a walk through the historic port of Las Palmas, a visit to the Columbus Museum.
Day 3: Gran Canaria (ground program)
On a rented van we go to Tamadaba Nature Park: views from a height of 1000 m and clean air. After that, visit the dunes of Maspalomas with their lagoons, palm groves and a lighthouse of the XIX century.
Day 4: Gran Canaria — Las Galletas (Tenerife)
Transfer with an intermediate stop at La Gomera. During the voyage, there are lessons in sailing and navigation.
Day 5: Las Galletas — San Sebastian (La Gomera)
A short walk to the capital La Gomera. Visit the city associated with Columbus's travels and walk through its historic streets.
Day 6: San Sebastian — Garajonai National Park
Excursion to the laurel forests of Garahonai — a UNESCO site. Routes through date groves, green valleys and plateaus shrouded in fog.
Day 7: San Sebastian — Las Galletas
The final crossing with the opportunity to meet dolphins or whales. After that, a trip to the Teide volcano, hiking trails and spectacular sunset views. In the evening there is a farewell party on the shore.
Day 8: End of the tour
In the morning — breakfast and disembarkation from the yacht before 9:00.
