The IYT Yachtmaster Offshore SAIL practice in Marmaris is a unique opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized license, which confirms the high level of sailing yacht management skills. The training includes both a theoretical course and intensive practice on the water, which allows participants to feel confident in the role of captain.

What is the IYT Yachtmaster Offshore SAIL license?
Types of licenses:
Yachtmaster Coastal SAIL (requires a minimum of 800 nautical miles of experience).
Yachtmaster Offshore SAIL (requires a minimum of 2,000 nautical miles of experience).
Features: The license allows you to move 60 miles from the coast at any time of the day. This covers most sea crossings. For Offshore SAIL, the additional distance can be up to 150 miles.
Application:
Management of a commercial yacht (up to 200 tons displacement).
How do I get a license?
Take a theoretical course:

Format: online classes 2 times a week in the evening.
Duration: 2 weeks (10 hours).
After the training, you must take a theoretical exam.
Take a practical course:

Duration: 7 days sailing in Marmaris.
Conditions:
For Coastal SAIL: 30 days at sea, 800 nautical miles, including 2 days as a skipper and 12 hours of night watches.
For Offshore SAIL: 2,000 nautical miles, with similar requirements for the role of skipper and night watches.
Take a practical exam:

The practical course ends with an exam that includes navigation, mooring, crew management and emergency response.
Apply for a license:
