Route description

When the beach season ends in Turkey and the autumn regattas are over, it's time for real yachtsmen and the Winter Trophy series of winter sailing races. These regattas take place in three cities: Marmaris, Gocek and Bodrum. In winter, they usually have a mild climate and ideal conditions for sailing. The competitions were organized in such a way that every new week it was possible to participate in a race in one of these three cities. All of them offer very different water areas: weather conditions, the openness of the sea, the relief of the surrounding area. Thanks to this, each of the regattas is not like the others and becomes a new exciting adventure. According to the results of the series of winter regattas, the winners of the series of races in each of the cities are awarded.

Our yacht Beneteau First 40.7 is 12 meters long and can accommodate up to 10 participants. We will be glad to see both experienced yachtsmen and newcomers in our team, even if they have never set foot on board a sailing yacht.

In the evening, after the races, all-inclusive club parties will be waiting for us, with awards for the winners of the competition stages. Here we will be able to chat with each other, with our rivals, like-minded people in a relaxed, relaxed atmosphere and just have fun.

The program of each stage includes:

- three days of training. During which we will learn the safety rules, the basics of managing sails and other elements of boats, the technical features of our yacht, and the rules of the races themselves. We will conduct practical exercises during which we will see how all the sails work, distribute the roles of the participants on board and learn how to smoothly manage all the elements of the yacht.

-two days of racing (Saturday, Sunday). We will take part in the regatta, which includes 3-4 races with different routes, both with short ones that require quickness of action, teamwork of the crew and good tactics, and with long ones that are more demanding of strategic work.

Paid by the team additionally:

-club fees for participation in the race (usually 200 euros for the whole team)
-parking in yacht clubs (if not provided by the organizers for free)

**the deposit is not charged in advance. It implies the collective responsibility of all team members, and their willingness to jointly compensate for the costs associated with possible damage during the regatta (yachts, sails, rigging or other equipment) in equal shares by all team members, regardless of their degree of guilt and in total not exceeding 2000 euros. For example, if there are 8 people in the team, such a deposit will not exceed 250 euros per person.
