Yachtmaster Offshore Course

The IYT Worldwide Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate is a prestigious international certificate that grants the right to operate sailing and/or motor vessels up to 24 meters long at a distance of up to 150 nautical miles from shore.

Theory:
Five days of classroom activities, covering:
Navigation and transition planning.
Safety on board.
Meteorology and weather forecast.
Emergency management.

Practice:
Seven days on board a yacht at sea, including:
Practicing mooring skills in difficult conditions.
Consideration of tidal currents during navigation.
Yacht management at night and in conditions of limited visibility.
Practical exam on the water.

Requirements for participation:
Minimum age: 18 years.
The certificate of the operator of VHF radio communication.
Swimming qualification: at least 800 nautical miles as a Bareboat Skipper (BBS).
It is recommended to complete the basic STCW safety course (includes firefighting, survival at sea, first aid, personal safety).
