A festival of the sea, traditions and sailing!
The Mrduya Regatta has been winning the hearts of lovers of the sea, sails and wind for 92 years. This is the oldest regatta in the Mediterranean, which gathers the "motley" among the crews. From speedboats and speedboats, boats with lateen sails, to family boats, where whole families sail towards Mrdui. This tradition is not interrupted.
The islet of Mrduja, after which this regatta was named, is a turning point or auxiliary finish line on the 22-mile Split-Mrduja-Split route. This is the largest regatta on the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea, in which more than 300 sailboats participate annually.
As the sun shines over the coast of Split, sailors from all over the country and beyond prepare for their day at sea. Some sail with real, professional crews, while others sail for pleasure and love of the wind and the sea. Despite this, everyone is an equal participant in this sailing holiday. Mrduya is not only a regatta, but also an opportunity to gather old friends, share experiences, and create new stories.
For those who are not involved in sailing, join the hundreds of spectators on the Sustipan or at the ACI Marina, because hundreds of sails at sea are an exciting sight.
