Route description

This seven-day intensive will prepare you for independent sea adventures!

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an international license from the ISSA International Sailing Association, which will allow you to rent a yacht yourself in most countries of the world (except Israel, Russia and Japan).

The course runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in ultra-small groups of up to 4 people and consists of 6 days of practical exercises at sea and two theoretical lessons in a Zoom. There are about 40 hours of marine practice and 20 hours of theory in total.

In the course program:
The design and equipment of a sailing yacht
Motor control of the yacht: maneuvering, mooring, anchoring
Steering a boat under sail: setting sails, heading for the wind, turning overstay and forewind, tacks, reefs, drift.
Classical and electronic navigation
Meteorology and weather
Ship traffic rules
Planning a sea voyage
Night navigation
Saving a man who got overboard
Emergency radio communication
Team Management
If you try to learn as much as we will try to teach you, then by the end of the week you may turn out to be a novice sea wolf or she-wolf. We look forward to seeing you!

Classes are held in the Haifa water area.
