Sergei Belov

My name is Sergey. I have been sailing since 2009. It all started with the student yacht «Акела» (Cetus type), with which we sailed the Baltic, North, Mediterranean and Black seas, as well as the northern part of the Atlantic. One memorable episode was a delivery passage of the Dutch ketch «Tecla» (built in 1914) from Greece to Belgium.

In autumn 2010, I joined the crew of the racing yacht «Бемби» (Conrad 25R). Since then, I have actively competed in St. Petersburg Sailing Union regattas and in the Russian Championships in the Quarter Ton class. I am a podium finisher at national events, as well as at the international «Muhu Väina Regatta».

In 2012, I obtained a helmsman certificate for a sports sailing vessel. I also hold a valid GIMS certificate and an international IYT Yachtmaster Offshore Skipper certificate. Over the years, I have completed numerous yacht delivery passages both at sea and along Russia’s inland waterways. I have worked as an instructor at a sailing school and enjoy sharing my experience with others.
