Stage 2 of the Marmaris Winter Trophy – regatta on a First 40 yacht

Location: Marmaris Bay, Turkey

The Marmaris Winter Trophy series brings sailors together throughout the winter months, offering the chance to compete across multiple stages. The second stage will begin with training days so crews can prepare for racing and hone the tactical and technical aspects of sailing.

Stage program
Training days:
Familiarization with the yacht and the sailing area.
Assigning crew roles and working on team coordination.
Practicing upwind tacking, mark roundings, and tactical starts and finishes.
Theory: racing rules and course tactics.

Racing days:
Several races of varying length held in the waters of Marmaris.
The races take place in dynamic conditions: steady winds and challenging courses make for intense competition.
In the evenings, crew gatherings are organized where participants can discuss the races and share experience.
