About the tour

Loryma Cup is an exciting regatta that brings together both professionals and amateurs.

The route of the regatta has not been finalized yet, but the concept remains the same: each race starts in one place and finishes in another. The overall start and finish of the event are in Marmaris. Individual legs usually finish in one of the marinas in Gökova Bay.

All races last 5 to 7 hours and take place close to the coast during daylight. One of the races is an offshore leg of 90–120 miles, depending on the forecast wind conditions. The plan is for the yacht to be racing for no more than 24 hours, with watch rotations.

The weather is expected to be excellent: by this time, steady strong winds are already blowing; it’s not hot yet, and you can already swim.

During this regatta, all teams stay in hotels or apartments ashore. Once the full crew is formed, we create a group chat for everyone and choose suitable accommodation together. Accommodation costs are not included in the race participation fee (last year it averaged €60 per night).

The fee includes all expenses except flights, accommodation, and meals.

Tour itinerary

Marmaris is one of Turkey’s premier yachting hubs, located in the southwest of the country. Its sheltered bay and large Marmaris Marina welcome hundreds of vessels each season. The town blends a lively waterfront promenade, bustling bazaars, and cozy cafés with excellent marine infrastructure—groceries, repair services, laundries, and provisioning options are all easily accessible for sailors. Marmaris is an ideal starting point for sailing adventures across the Aegean Sea—to Göcek, Fethiye, Dalyan, and even the Greek island of Rhodes. The surrounding coast is dotted with dozens of secluded coves, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. With warm summers, moderate winds, and a well-developed charter industry, Marmaris is a great choice for both first-time skippers and experienced sailors alike.
