A week under sail along Mauritius’ coast — calm bays, coral lagoons, and small islands scattered across the Indian Ocean.
Short passages, warm sea, and the steady trade winds set the rhythm.
The route follows the island’s north and west — from Crystal Rock to dolphin bays and the lively streets of Port Louis.
Days move easily: sailing, swimming, and exploring without rush.
Day 1. Black River – Benitier Island
13:00 Meeting at La Balise Marina. Safety briefing and boarding.
A short sail to Benitier Island.
Swimming and snorkeling near Crystal Rock.
22:00 Dinner on board and rest after the journey.
Day 2. Benitier Island – Le Morne – Tamarin
Morning swim with dolphins.
13:00 Lunch with a view of Le Morne — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the famous “underwater waterfall.”
14:00 Optional safari at Casela Park with lions, giraffes, hippos, and more (available on request).
17:15 Arrival in Tamarin Bay — calm sea, sunset, and dinner on board. This place is known among surfers from Forgotten Island of Santosha.
Day 3. Tamarin – Port Louis – Turtle Bay
After breakfast, sail toward Port Louis.
Along the way — the lava cliffs of Albion and the historic lighthouse.
Walk through the Waterfront, the central market, Chinatown, and the Museum of Slavery.
Optional food tour (available on request).
Sailing on to Turtle Bay for swimming and sunset dinner.
Day 4. Balaclava – Coin de Mire – Grand Baie
Sail north to Coin de Mire Island for snorkeling.
Continue to the wild shores of Ile aux Palisades.
Evening sail to Grand Baie and dinner on board.
Optional dinner at Lux Grand Baie Hotel (available on request).
Day 5. Grand Baie
Breakfast and visit to the village of Grand Baie.
Optional tour to Pamplemousses Garden and Labourdonnais Estate with local rum tasting (available on request).
Dinner on board or night out at N’JOY Club (advance reservation required).
Anchorage with views of Iconic Royal Palm Hotel and Lux Grand Baie Hotel.
Day 6. Whale Watching – Mont Choisy Beach
Breakfast, then sail west in search of whales — humpbacks, pilot whales, and orcas are often seen here.
Afternoon swim at Mont Choisy Beach.
Evening dinner under the stars of the Southern Hemisphere.
Day 7. Mont Choisy – Albion – Tamarin
After breakfast, cruise along the coast.
Stop at Les Falaises d’Albion for lunch.
Return to Black River Bay, sheltered by mountain peaks.
Dinner on board or at Il Padrino Restaurant (available on request).
Day 8. Tamarin – La Balise
Morning swim and views of the Tamarin mountains.
Sailing back to La Balise Marina by 10:00.
Optional excursion to Chamarel’s “Seven-Coloured Earth” and lunch at La Rhumerie de Chamarel before airport transfer (available on request).
Additional information
Included: Cabin in double occupancy (½ DBL), full board, snorkeling gear, SUP boards.
