Samui
Koh Samui lies in the Gulf of Thailand, where the sailing season runs from May to August. The local monsoon is reversed compared to Phuket - calm mornings, short evening rains. The island has its own international airport with flights from Singapore, Hong Kong and nearby hubs.
Between Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Ang Thong Marine Park and Koh Tao it’s an easy, relaxed day’s sail - about 20 nautical miles from one to the next. Perfect rhythm for a week on a cabin cruise.
ℹ️ Cabin Charter
This is a shared sailing cruise. Guests book individual cabins on a crewed yacht (captain, cook, deckhand). All meals are served on board. It’s a comfortable option for travelers who prefer a small group experience without chartering a private boat.
Route:
Day 1: Saturday: Koh Samui (base) → Koh Tean (0h30)
Boarding at 17:00 for a short sail to the first anchorage overnight at Koh Tean, a small island just south of Samui.
By day, local boats come and go; by evening, the beach falls silent again. The island feels half-forgotten - trails from old villages fade into the jungle, overgrown and quiet.
Ashore, paths wind through mangroves and small caves, with a shallow reef circling the shore. At dusk, fruit bats rise in clouds over the trees - a nightly rhythm of wings and sound. Local legend says no dog can stay here overnight; the bats would drive it restless.
Morning is calm - time for a swim, a short dive, or a walk along the west beaches before sailing on.
Day 2: Sunday: Koh Tean → Koh Phaluai, Kang Tak Bay → Ang Thong National Park (2h45)
After a morning swim off Koh Tean’s quiet beaches, sail toward Koh Phaluai - a large island five miles south of Ang Thong Marine Park, part of the protected area managed by park wardens.
Anchoring is restricted on the east coast, where locals harvest swiftlet nests, but the north side has a long sheltered beach, calm under the cliffs.
Lunch at anchor near Koh Phaluai, then time for swimming or water sports - snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking.
By late afternoon, sail to Ang Thong National Park for the overnight anchorage among limestone islands and untouched nature.
Day 3: Monday: Ang Thong → Koh Sam Sao → Koh Nai Phut (0h45)
Sail towards Koh Sam Sao and Koh Thai Phlao for a lunch stop and exploration between the islands. Whale sharks are sometimes seen near the outer islands, and pods of Indo-Pacific dolphins often surface along the way.
At Koh Sam Sao, a stone arch connects two rocks - wide enough to pass under by dinghy. Across the channel, two small islands are linked by a sandbar at low tide. Clear water, coral patches, and a small beach that stays quiet for hours. A short trail leads to a viewpoint over the bay.
Further north, Koh Thai Phlao and Koh Nai Phut form a tight cluster of small islands, perfect for exploring by paddleboard or kayak. Small hongs open among the cliffs; one on the eastern side is large enough to enter at mid-tide.
Overnight anchorage at Koh Nai Phut.
Day 4: Tuesday: Koh Nai Phut → Koh Tao (4h15)
After lunch, sail toward Koh Tao - a small rocky island north of the route, known for calm blue water and shallow coral reefs.
Overnight anchorage at Mango Bay, the only inhabited bay on the north coast of Koh Tao. By day, dive boats come and go; by evening, the bay turns quiet again.
In the early morning and late afternoon, the light softens over the cliffs, and the reef below teems with fish.
Day 5: Wednesday: Koh Tao North → Koh Tao South (1h)
Spend the day exploring the beaches and reefs along Koh Tao’s eastern coast. Time for water activities - paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling.
In the afternoon, sail south toward Shark Island once the dive boats leave and the water quiets down. The anchorage is well-sheltered, with clear water and coral gardens just below the surface.
Overnight at anchor.
Day 6: Thursday: Koh Tao → Koh Pha Ngan (3h45)
Sail toward Koh Pha Ngan. Best known for its full moon parties on the southeastern peninsula, the island’s northern coast is quieter, with long white-sand beaches such as Thong Nai Pan and Bottle Beach.
Bottle Beach, the overnight anchorage, is reachable only by boat or a steep jungle trail. A small bay lined with a few beach huts and coconut palms, framed by green hills that rise behind the sand.
Day 7: Friday: Koh Pha Ngan → Ao Chaweng, Koh Samui (2h30)
After a morning swim, sail to Haad Rin - one of Koh Pha Ngan’s most beautiful beaches - for lunch at a viewpoint.
In the afternoon, continue toward Koh Samui. Final anchorage at Ao Chaweng, a wide open bay with several good spots to drop anchor.
Chaweng is lively - a long beach lined with shops, bars and restaurants, the right place for a last evening ashore.
Day 8: Saturday: Ao Chaweng → Base (1h30)
Short morning sail from Ao Chaweng back to the base. Disembarkation around 9:00 am. End of cruise.

This is standard practice for our operations in such destinations and does not affect guest comfort or service quality.
Crew is responsible for cleaning common areas only.
