🧭 What will you master?
✅ Handling a yacht under sail and power
✅ Anchoring in secluded coves — proper approaches, setting and holding
✅ Navigation — working with charts, GPS, and electronic navigation systems
✅ COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea) — safe interaction with other vessels
✅ Practical meteorology — reading forecasts, identifying squalls, planning routes to the wind
✅ Rigging and knots — from basics to advanced
✅ Pre-departure checks — pre-departure checklist
✅ Taking on fuel and water; connecting to shore power and services
✅ Personal and vessel safety — lifejackets, VHF, EPIRB, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, etc.
✅ Introduction to maritime terminology — speak the same language as skippers worldwide

Upon successful completion you will receive the IYT Bareboat Skipper Sail certificate, which allows you to:
