About the tour

Palermo → Aeolian Islands → Lefkas 🇮🇹🇬🇷

This leg brings together everything people love about yachting in the Mediterranean: smoking volcanoes, the warm waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, an open‑sea passage, Greek islands, and the true taste of a long voyage.
Ten days — and three completely different worlds: Sicily, the Aeolian Islands, the Ionian.

Why this route is special
1. Start in Palermo — the heart of Sicily

We set off from Palermo — a bustling, spicy, vibrant city where Arab, Spanish, and Italian traditions blend.
The city itself is an adventure.

The morning Ballarò market, street food, historic architecture, and the scents of spices and the sea create a strong contrast with the calm that awaits us on the islands.

2. The Aeolian Islands — the volcanic magic of the Mediterranean
The Aeolian archipelago is one of Italy’s most impressive places. Each island has its own character:
Vulcano — hot ground, sulfur springs, and black volcanic sand.
Lipari — white cliffs, perfect coves, a beautiful old town.
Salina — a green island, vineyards, and the feel of authentic Italy.
Stromboli — an active volcano that throws fire fountains every few minutes. Watching it at night from the sea is one of life’s most unforgettable sights.

We’ll spend a few days here: anchoring in quiet bays, swimming, walking the islands, climbing to viewpoints, and feeling the earth breathe under our feet.

3. The big open‑sea passage across the Tyrrhenian

After the Aeolian Islands, an open‑sea stretch awaits — about 180–220 nautical miles to the Ionian.
This is pure seamanship, real freedom, and a deep sense of the journey.

You will experience:
- night passages under the stars,
- teamwork,
- offshore navigation,
- shifting winds and waves,
- the meditative rhythm of a long passage.
This is not a stroll — it’s an experience that stays with you forever.

4. Entering Greece and the finale — the island of Lefkas 🇬🇷

When, after several days at sea, the mountains of the Ionian Islands appear on the horizon, it’s a moment of true elation.
Greece greets you with a gentle breeze, turquoise water, and the calm of the archipelago.

Lefkas is the ideal place to end the voyage:
cozy anchorages, beautiful beaches, Greek cuisine, and the relaxed atmosphere of small towns.

After an intense route, it feels like returning to a home that has been waiting.

Only the following are fixed:
Start: Palermo 🇮🇹
Finish: Lefkas 🇬🇷

Everything else is a flexible itinerary shaped by the weather and the crew’s mood.

Who this route is for:
- those who want to see Stromboli and Lipari not as tourists but as sailors;
- those collecting miles for future certificates;
- those who love a mix of nature, volcanoes, and real sea practice;
- newcomers — as a first big passage;
- experienced sailors — for the pleasure of sailing one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful stretches.
