🌍 About the regatta

IMYC is one of the most prestigious and spectacular regattas in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It brings together the region’s top teams and attracts racers from Europe, Turkey, the Caucasus, and the CIS. The competition format combines technical tasks, high‑speed races, and a dynamic sports program, making the championship engaging both for seasoned athletes and for those seeking exciting racing practice.

⛵ Format and program
The regatta takes place in the waters of Marmaris Bay—one of Turkey’s best racing arenas.
The proximity of the mountains, steady wind, even sea state, and well‑organized infrastructure create ideal conditions for competitive yachting.

IMYC includes:
2 days of training under the guidance of the skipper and coach
(practicing starts, maneuvers, and crew coordination);

5 days of racing with a series of different formats:
short, technical races,
long coastal races across the scenic bay.

⚓ Base and logistics
Throughout the regatta, the yacht is berthed at the Marmaris town quay, within walking distance of:
• the old town center,
• the promenade and restaurants,
• all regatta facilities.

IMYC is ideal for:
• participants with basic or advanced racing experience;
• those who want to test themselves in a large competitive fleet;
• active travelers seeking vivid emotions and intensive hands‑on practice.

The crew is formed from participants of different levels:
you’ll get up to speed quickly—the coach and skipper provide all the necessary briefings.
