About the tour

A sailing journey along Turkey’s southwestern coast — mountain bays, ancient towns, and quiet seaside villages.
The route runs from Gökova Bay to Marmaris, passing islands, ruins, and the clear waters of the Aegean Sea.
Short passages, calm days, swimming, and a soft wind set the rhythm.

Day 1. Ören Marina — Gökova Bay
Check-in after 17:00 and settle into cabins.
Welcome drink and introduction to the crew.
Evening walk through Ören, an old town at the foot of the mountains.
Dinner on board with views of the bay and the soft glow of coastal lights.

Day 2. Ören — Akbük — Sedir Island (Cleopatra Beach)
Morning departure.
Stop in Akbük Bay for a swim in calm turquoise water.
Then — Sedir Island, home to the famous “Cleopatra Beach.” According to legend, the sand was brought from Egypt as a gift from Mark Antony to Cleopatra.
Ancient amphitheater, traces of Kedrai city, swimming, and a peaceful night at anchor.

Day 3. Sedir Island — Çökertme — Bodrum
Day stop in Çökertme Bay — lunch, swimming, and rest.
Sail to Bodrum, the vibrant capital of Turkish sailing.
Whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and the medieval Castle of St. Peter with its peacocks and sea views.
Panorama of the harbor from the fortress towers — the essence of the Aegean coast.

Day 4. Bodrum — Knidos — Datça
Cruise along the cliffs toward ancient Knidos.
Among the ruins once stood the second medical school of the ancient world.
Blue water in the bay, paddleboards, kayaks, and swimming by stone amphitheaters.
Later — Datça, a quiet coastal town with windmills, vineyards, and a long promenade.
Sunset and a glass of wine by the sea.

Day 5. Datça — Orhaniye — Selimiye
Morning sail to Orhaniye Bay with its famous Maiden’s Sandbar stretching into the sea.
View from the ancient fortress — the sandbar and misty mountain slopes.
Continue to Selimiye, a peaceful bay surrounded by pine forests.
Wooden piers instead of beaches, soft evening lights, and dinner on board.

Day 6. Selimiye — Bozburun — Buzukkale
Sailing along the Bozburun Peninsula — calm bays, clear water, and a steady breeze.
A small friendly port overlooking the Greek island of Symi.
Then — Buzukkale, ancient Rhodian Chersonese, with fortress ruins and old temple remains.
Wide sea views from the cliffs and a quiet night under the stars.

Day 7. Buzukkale — Turunç — Marmaris
Coastal passage.
Turunç — a small village in a calm bay where the sea is clear and still.
Swimming, rest, and evening arrival in Marmaris — the lively final port.
Bustling promenade, old town lanes, and the glow of harbor lights.

Day 8. Departure
Breakfast, farewell to the crew, and transfer to the airport.

Tour itinerary

Marmaris is one of Turkey’s premier yachting hubs, located in the southwest of the country. Its sheltered bay and large Marmaris Marina welcome hundreds of vessels each season. The town blends a lively waterfront promenade, bustling bazaars, and cozy cafés with excellent marine infrastructure—groceries, repair services, laundries, and provisioning options are all easily accessible for sailors. Marmaris is an ideal starting point for sailing adventures across the Aegean Sea—to Göcek, Fethiye, Dalyan, and even the Greek island of Rhodes. The surrounding coast is dotted with dozens of secluded coves, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. With warm summers, moderate winds, and a well-developed charter industry, Marmaris is a great choice for both first-time skippers and experienced sailors alike.
