Yachtmaster Coastal Course
The Yachtmaster Coastal certificate permits you to skipper sailing and motor vessels up to 24 meters in length, up to 60 miles from the coast, by day or night.
This course includes 7 days of on board practice, building on the skills gained in the Bareboat Skipper course.
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age: 18.
- VHF radio operator’s certificate.
- At least 800 nautical miles as a Bareboat Skipper.
Course objectives:
- Deepen theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Master new docking and mooring techniques in challenging conditions.
- Study navigation for multi-day passages.
- Consider the impact of tides and currents on passage planning, berthing, and anchorages.
