A typical day unfolds inside the Malé lagoon with short passages between sandbars and lagoons, anchor stops in sheltered water and swimming in clear shallows.
Prestige 620 (2013). A flybridge motor yacht with two outdoor decks and three cabins with three heads. The layout allows a private pace without crowding.
Route
09:00 meeting in Malé and tender transfer to the yacht. Welcome drink, settling in the shade of the cockpit and a short briefing on safety and the plan for the day.
10:00 departure toward the southern reefs of the atoll. The run goes inside the calm lagoon between sand tongues and turquoise patches, the course holds along the sheltered edge of the reef.
11:30 anchor at a white sandbar. Dry sand runs into shallow water, the bottom is visible like on glass. Swimming, a short walk on the flats and a photo stop in knee-deep water.
13:00 lunch on deck. Seafood, tropical fruit and chilled soft drinks served in the shade of the awning.
14:30 snorkeling in a sheltered lagoon over a coral patch. The water is flat and the relief is readable right in the mask on shallow depth. Reef fish often pass close to the coral plates.
16:00 sunset stop by the outer edge of the reef. Drinks on the flybridge, soft light and open water, a good moment for final horizon shots.
18:00 return to Malé. An easy run back across the lagoon and a calm entry to the marina.

About me:
Sailing since childhood, yachting since my teens, and a life at sea.
I’m inspired by the adrenaline of race starts and the thrill of fighting for seconds, but nothing beats the pleasure of an unhurried cruise: when the sail catches the wind and there’s good food, easy conversation, and a crew you truly want to share the sea with.
I’m happy to share the helm, become part of the team, and help others feel the boat the way I do.

— 10+ years of teaching experience in yachting (IYT, ISSA)
— 10,000+ miles on offshore passages
