"ST48" - a 48-foot motor yacht for short coastal cruises. Three cabins accommodate up to six guests. The flybridge has shaded lounge seating, and the aft deck is set up for dining by the water. Inside, the main salon is bright with large windows.
Navigation, boat handling and docking are fully handled by the skipper and crew.
Possible route (3.5 hours)
Departure from Marina de Portimão and an easy run along Praia da Rocha. This is a wide sand beach with warm-colored cliffs along the shoreline. The first swim stop is usually taken at anchor off the yacht.
The cruise then follows the cliff line toward Carvoeiro. At Algar Seco the coastline breaks into caves, arches and cut-outs in the rock. The water is clear and the bottom shows patches of stone. This section is viewed from the yacht, and the approach is managed according to weather and local traffic.
Next, the yacht continues toward Benagil. The entrance to the cave shows the circular opening in the roof, with the sand inside lit from above and the walls rising straight up. Entry into the cave is regulated, so the stop is either a controlled look from outside or a slow approach to the edge, depending on local rules.
The final stop is off Praia da Marinha. Limestone cliffs, natural rock arches and shallow light water close to the beach. Short swim stop, then return to Portimão along the coast.
Restrictions: no pets on board, no red wine.

About me:
Sailing since childhood, yachting since my teens, and a life at sea.
I’m inspired by the adrenaline of race starts and the thrill of fighting for seconds, but nothing beats the pleasure of an unhurried cruise: when the sail catches the wind and there’s good food, easy conversation, and a crew you truly want to share the sea with.
